We have been tied to the wall at Riverlink Park in Amsterdam NY for nearly a week. The heavy rains and strong current damaged gates on the locks and moved red and green bouy markers from what anchored them in place. No word yet on a definitive reopening date. There are five other looper boats here too, and many others scattered at lock walls and marinas up and down this section (Locks 2-19 in the Mohawk River) of the canal.

Wishing you all the best wherever you are. 🌊
What an adventure! Mother Nature forces you to rest and reflect♥️ The weather has been terrible all over the east coast. We have been at The Bluffs since July 1-14 and we have had 12 days of rain and only 2 days of zero rain! We head home on 19 and 3 more days of showers before we leave!🙄 12 weeks before we head back to Florida! We rented a 10×20 storage unit and next week we begin the process of emptying the house! We go to Apple Island on 8/14 and return 9/14! So we have only 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after to prepare. We hope to close on the new house in January or February but with all delays in construction now it could be longer! As long as it is completed by May we will be delighted! George and I are happy and well. Lots to look forward to and quiet time to appreciate what we have and each other. It is nice sometimes a little too quiet 😂 I love your updates and look forward to them. All my love to you both,Kathy
