Irene is Having Her Heat Exchanger Cleaned and We Are On Dry Land

David spraying Irene down after we docked in Oxford for service. We are stepping off for a few days and will begin again on Friday, June 18th, heading north still through the rest of Maryland, Delaware and into NJ.
Kathie and Dan’s home, Riverwatch, in St. Michaels, MD.

It turns out the source of our engine running hot issues are due to the heat exchanger being “gunked up”. Campbell’s Marina in Oxford, MD is doing the service work while we enjoy a few days at Kathie (David’s sister) and Dan’s house in St. Michaels, MD. It is lovely and they are wonderful hosts.

Things we do on land that don’t really happen onboard Irene:

Walk a lot

Swim in a pool

Shop in little shops and West Marine

Get ice-cream

Have visits from our dearest friends

Eat Maryland crab cakes

Go to libraries and book stores

Ride bikes

Play with puppies

Enjoy the water from the land.

Glad you are having a great break!  Getting to enjoy some of the “off boat” luxuries will set you off on your next leg with renewed energy.  Enjoy.💕
